The role of "Fat Lady" will be played by Isabella.
So, Izzy and I visited the Dr. today, and we found out that she is measuring 35 weeks 6 days, even though (as of today) I am only 34 weeks 3 days. hmmmmm. We also found at that she is already estimated to weigh 6lbs 2oz. 6 FREAKIN' POUNDS! Even though i've only gained 16. What's going Izzy? How are you measuring ahead, when I still weigh LESS than I did pre-pregnancy? hmmm. Dr. Cole expects her to be about 7 or 8lbs when she's born, so we'll have a little fat lady on our hands, and OHHHHHH i can't wait to meet her, in all her juicy, juicy, soft, plush, juicy, plump, sweet juiciness!
Even though I'm excited that she's gaining plenty of weight, and getting up to a good size, it does significantly lower the chances that we'll be making a trip home for Thanksgiving. By the time it gets here, i'll be slated to give birth in 3 weeks, and that's not even accounting for the fact that she's measuring ahead! Im really thinking that I may not feeling up to the 2 hour drive, or being around the family for that matter. I've been pretty irritable, and cranky, and I can honestly only foresee it getting worse, especially considering the amount of "fuss" that family typically presents to a pregnant lady. "Don't eat anything spicy, don't drink anything sweet, sit down, don't you wanna lay down for a while?" and of course, the dreaded "Why don't you guys spend the night?" *shudder* Besides all of that though, I really don't want to be so far away from my Dr. if something happens. Im a first timer, so labor will probably progress pretty slow, in plenty of time for me to get to my hospital of choice for delivery, but really, who wants to be in a small, low car for 2 hours while they're in labor? NOT ME! And im sure the hubby would agree, because, after all, any and all annoyances, minor or major that occur once im in labor will be, of course, all his fault!
